Helping Hands Ministry

This group
prepares and delivers meals to those in need because of illness, or other life
crisis.
Although many
of these ‘ministers' are wonderful cooks...we all agree it is not ‘about the
meals', but about serving as Christ's hands to our church family.
Phone Ministry

The people of
the Phone Ministry call those on our prayer lists to see if there is anything
they need, such as a visit, a meal; this ministry serves by providing a short
term ‘listening ear'. Members serve on a
two week rotating basis.
Prayer Ministry

The people of
the Prayer Ministry work with the clergy to offer prayer for those in need as
well as share the gift of prayer thru healing services, prayer vigils and our

Prayer/Healing Service

This is a weekly time held
in the Prayer Chapel where attendees have the opportunity to share and lift up ‘prayerfully'
joys and concerns. This time is open to
‘everyone'....member or nonmember. Are
you: Worried about a loved one? Grieving
the loss of a loved one? Celebrating a
new birth or a joy? This time may be for you.
Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a program through which people are trained to help provide
Christian care-giving to members of our community who are grieving, in crisis,
or experiencing other challenges in life.
Yarn and Thread Knitting Group

This multi
generational group for beginners and experts alike meets every 3rd
Saturday at 9 a.m. Their projects
include prayer shawls, baby blankets, scarves and hats. These items are shared with members of our
HUMC family and the community during times of stress, loss or illness.
