Herndon UMC has one of the strongest and most dynamic
Sunday Schools in Northern Virginia. We offer persons of all ages
opportunities to apply Biblical principles to daily living through our
Sunday School programs. Classes are offered for ages 2 through adults
every Sunday at 9:45 AM.
Sunday morning 9:45 A.M.
Classes are available for ages two thru adult.
These classes are traditional classes using curriculum from several Christian publishing houses (mainly David C. Cook and Group). We also offer Nursery care for infants through children 4 years of age.
Sunday morning 8:30 & 11:00 A.M.
Currently we offer Nursery Care for infants through children 4 years of age. We also offer a variety of short term classes and several Disciple Bible Classes offered at various times during the week. For a complete listing of Christian Education classes for adults, please speak to Anne Harrison.
Disciple Bible Study
Adult bible study classes meet from September
to May. There are a variety of courses offered each year.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)
UMYF provides the youth of
the church and community in grades 7 through 12 the opportunity to
associate with peers in a caring and accepting environment under the
guidance of adult volunteers. UMYF membership offers fun activities,
opportunities for leadership and service, and a chance to grow in
Christian life. Herndon UMYF has two groups: Junior High UMYF meets
from 5:00 - 6:30 PM every Sunday and Senior High UMYF meets from 7:15 -
8:45 PM every Sunday.
Children’s Ministry Evening Fellowship
All groups meet two Sundays
per month (September through May) for faith, fun and fellowship.
- Junior Disciples: Kindergarten-2nd grade
- Faith Weaver Friends: 3rd-4th grade
- God’s Gang: 5th-6th grade
Herndon United Methodist Church offers a variety of Christian Education classes.
